What is the Women in Business, Finance and Technology program?
The Women in Business, Finance and Technology program is designed to create employment pathways for women who want to break into industries with typically low levels of female participation, including business, finance, and technology.
Chisholm Institute is delivering the program, in partnership with EQUANS, to help women in Melbourne’s greater southeast gain new skills and find local employment opportunities in the business, finance, and technology industries.
Available to students enrolled in relevant courses at Chisholm, the program runs for 12 months and gives you access to industry mentorship and work experience opportunities, tailored career guidance, and support after you’ve landed a job.
What support do participants receive?
Designed to accelerate your career in business, finance or technology, the program delivers real-world industry experience and employment outcomes. As a participant, you will:
- Take part in mentoring and work experience opportunities with our local partner, EQUANS.
- Work with our on-campus careers counsellor who will guide you through relevant local employment options.
- Receive dedicated support during the first three months of your new job.
- The Women in Business, Finance and Technology services are provided to program participants free of charge.
Who is eligible for the program?
The program is designed for women in Melbourne’s greater southeast who are interested in pursuing a career in business, finance, or technology.
You’ll be able to participate in the Women in Business, Finance and Technology program if you identify as female, have a home address in Melbourne’s greater southeast, and enrol in a business, finance, or technology course at Chisholm Institute.

National Careers Institute
The program has received funding from the Australian Government’s National Careers Institute, which provides information, resources, and support to Australian jobseekers.
