Life at Chisholm is more than just what you learn in the classroom – there are so many opportunities to connect and grow on campus.

This service can be a point of referral into our other services – if you aren’t sure where to start, but feel like you might need some support, our Student Success and Wellbeing Officers will be the best people to chat to.

The Success and Wellbeing team can directly provide support across a range of areas.

Student Life Events

Student life events

We have a wide range of events for you to attend throughout the year, helping you to connect with other students in a fun and safe environment. Our activities are free and inclusive for all students to enjoy.

We run an orientation festival at the start of each semester, allowing new students to get to know their campus, and existing students to reconnect with the Chisholm community after a holiday break. Orientation is attended by all our Student Support and Engagement services and local community organisations, and there is always great food and entertainment on offer.

Other events celebrate the diversity of our Chisholm people, including:

  • Harmony Day: A celebration of Chisholm’s diverse and unique multicultural cohort, promoting inclusivity and understanding by sharing food and activities.
  • Wear It Purple Day: Dress up in purple to show your support and allyship for LGBTQIA+ members of the Chisholm community, with food, workshops, and entertainment.
  • Join the Dots: Our annual celebration and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, including ceremony, food, music, activities, and entertainment.

Student Life also runs regular activities such as social clubs, drop-in sessions, and workshops – keep an eye on Student News to find out when these come up!
