Use your industry knowledge to train and assess others
If you like the idea of sharing your skills and experience, a job as a trainer or assessor can positively impact you and others around you.
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification prepares you for a role delivering training and assessment services in vocational education and training (VET). It’s also suitable for the delivery of training and assessment of competence in the workplace.
The course covers the skills you’ll need to develop and facilitate group-based learning using training packages and accredited courses. You’ll learn assessment activities and how to design and develop assessment tools. You’ll also gain skills in adult language literacy and numeracy support.
This nationally recognised qualification is highly valued by employers. It may lead to work as a trainer or assessor at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Or within businesses, community organisations, schools, and other VET provision contexts.
To enter this course program, you must be able to show vocational competency in your proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience. This may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
