About Frankston campus
Frankston campus offers a wide range of courses and facilities to support the training needs of students. Buildings A and B form the $85m Frankston Learning and Innovation Precinct, which was officially opened in late 2019. Building B is dedicated to technical trades and has the latest workshop design and fit-out for plumbing, building and carpentry, electrical, electrotechnology and engineering.
The adjacent Building A is home to courses in Hair, Beauty and Wellness with training in-house in the Mysa Hair and Beauty Salon. Level 2 Early Childhood Education has expansive play areas and children’s washroom facilities while on Level 3, Health and Allied Health courses are delivered in state-of-the art model hospital wards, pathology and dental clinics.
The Precinct also has a comprehensive library with study and online support, and computer access for students. The Student Enrolment Hub located on Level One will assist prospective and current students with course and career information, and support through the application and enrolment process.
Our Frankston campus also has a cafeteria and student-operated restaurant. It’s located adjacent to Samuel Sherlock Reserve, which incorporates a skate park and the Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC), and is a short walk from the revitalised Frankston Railway Station.
Major works at Frankston Chisholm
The Victorian Government is building a new multi-deck car park at Frankston Railway Station within the existing station car park on Fletcher Road in Frankston opposite Chisholm Institute’s Frankston campus. Major works are underway, and the project is expected to be completed by late 2024. While this won’t affect access to our Frankston campus, it will mean the following:
Accessible parking - Eight relocated and upgraded accessible car spaces will open late 2024 in the Fletcher street carpark. The existing accessibility bays will be closed once this is complete but can currently be used in the meantime.
Bus - The Metro Rail replacement bus stop is temporarily relocated to the opposite side of Fletcher Road, directly outside the Frankston campus outside Building A until late 2024.
Pedestrians - Pedestrian detours are in place on Young Street and in the Fletcher Road car park. Traffic management and signage will help guide you safely.
Bike parking - Parkiteers are currently available on both the Young Street and Fletcher Road sides of the Frankston train station.
