Our partnership with CINEC Campus, one of Sri Lanka’s largest non-state sector higher education institutions, and Sri Lankan international education specialist alankaEd, is supporting the country’s increased focus on vocational training.

The pilot involved delivery of the Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care and Disability) and Certificate III in Mental Health. Our training included hands-on learning in purpose-built facilities on site and practical placements in industry to ensure all students were work-ready on graduation.

In preparation, we successfully trained 16 CINEC teachers in the full Certificate IV in Training and Assessment course through Zoom meetings and our Moodle learning platform.

This project offers graduates a seamless pathway into further study at Chisholm from Certificate IV to degree levels. There are plans to expand the range of courses to include IT, business and engineering, based on local industry demand.

CINEC Campus is among the top private education providers in Sri Lanka, with a reputation for quality training and graduates. This project has been customised to meet local industry needs and contributes to the Sri Lankan government’s focus on improving  vocational education and training across the country.
