Chisholm Institute of TAFE congratulates student, Levi Konnerth for jointly winning Apprentice of the Year at the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards held on Wednesday 9 October, 2024.
A Certificate III In Engineering - Mechanical Trade student at Chisholm’s Dandenong Campus, Levi is doing his apprenticeship at A.W. Bell Machinery in Dandenong South, an advanced manufacturer of foundry equipment, such as shell dipping systems, waterblasts, grinders and cut-off saws.
A.W. Bell General Manager, Stephen Murtagh, who attended the awards at Crown with Levi and his workmates, was reportedly more excited about Levi’s win than Levi himself. Stephen had won a similar award in the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards 11 years earlier.
The company was also a finalist in the 2024 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards, in the category of ‘Leader in Manufacturing’ for their advancements in robotics and automation – providing foundries all over the world with equipment that focuses on enhancing safety and efficiencies.
Chisholm congratulates Levi for his dedication to his apprenticeship and work, and his curiosity to keep learning.
