ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a comprehensive two-day workshop focused on suicide first-aid. This training equips participants with the skills to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and collaborate with them to develop a plan that ensures their immediate safety. ASIST is widely utilised by healthcare providers, but it is designed to be accessible to everyone; no formal training is required to attend. Participants of all backgrounds can benefit from the practical, evidence-based techniques taught in the workshop, enhancing their ability to support individuals in crisis.
ASIST courses can provide members of the community with:
