Use your creative skills and talents to become a make-up artist

Starting a career as a make-up artist allows you to express your creativity. You can use your skills to enhance people's confidence and work in a dynamic industry with opportunities in fashion, film, television, and bridal services.

On successful completion of the Certificate III in Make-up, you'll have a strong foundation of skills and knowledge in make-up artistry. The course covers the latest trends and techniques for occasional, bridal and fashion make-up. You'll also learn skills in camouflage, spray tanning, hair styling and more.

You'll build an understanding of occupational health and safety procedures required for the industry. You'll even learn small business planning and social media strategies to help you succeed in a freelance career.

The course requires a commitment to hands-on practical training on campus, supported by industry-experienced teachers. You will be responsible for sourcing your own practice and assessment models

With this nationally recognised qualification, you'll be ready to work as an employed or freelance make-up artist. You could also further your education by studying for Chisholm's Diploma of Beauty Therapy (SHB50121).
