Building A has been officially handed over to Chisholm, marking another significant milestone in the project. In coming days the project team will continue to work with the builders to make adjustments as required, however, this major completion phase allows for the start of furnishings and equipment to be moved in.
Health has commenced their fit out of Level 3 for the creation of model health wards, laboratories, and Allied Health spaces. Allied Pickfords will relocate Health staff on 26 - 27 July with other departments to follow through to mid-August.
The four-level building will house a new Library and Learning Centre, and Client Services on level one, together with a day spa and wellness centre. On level two, Early Childhood Education, and staff spaces, while Health will cover all of Level 3 and a section of Level 4, which is also home to Hair, Beauty and Wellness training spaces, and general purpose classrooms.
The classrooms, learning and study areas that are located throughout the building will be soon added to the room booking systems.
Relocation to Building B continues. Plumbing classes began on 1 July, Electrical commenced this week, and Engineering from 22 July.
For staff relocating to A and B Buildings, Promethean Screen/Activ Panel Training is continuing with a sessions being held on 19 July at 10am - Rooms B231 & B232
