Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology (Furniture) is a comprehensive apprenticeship course with hands-on industry-specific training. It provides the opportunity to earn while you learn and prepares you to work as a furniture craftsman.
As an apprentice, you'll work with your employer full-time and learn from industry-experienced teachers at our state-of-the-art trade facilities. You'll gain the skills and knowledge to create furniture from conceptualisation to construction.
Master the art of woodworking with hands-on experience using a range of specialist machinery, including CNC machining and processing centres (rail and flatbed). Learn skills in computer-aided drawings (CAD) and computer-aided machining (CAM).
You'll work with timber, veneers, particle boards, and synthetic woods. You'll also mark out, cut, and shape timber products with precision using up-to-date current industry machines.
Please note: Students may be required to undertake an assessment of their literacy and numeracy as part of their application process.
Chisholm is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and provides Nationally Recognised Training (NRT). This means you can be assured that our training will provide you with a qualification that is recognised and respected across Australia.
Chisholm courses are subject to minimum and maximum group numbers. Courses may be cancelled or postponed if minimum numbers are not achieved by the start date of the course. Courses may close prior to the start date if the maximum numbers are reached. In that situation, eligible applicants will be offered a place in the next available intake.
