Become a licensed plumber and expand your employment opportunities in the field.

When you successfully complete the Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services, you’ll be able to work on a broad range of plumbing jobs.

You’ll learn design and sizing skills in the main classes of plumbing such as sanitary drainage systems, stormwater drainage systems, domestic treatment plant disposal systems, consumer gas installations, heating and cooling systems, roof drainage systems, sanitary plumbing systems, heated and cold water services and systems.

To be eligible to apply for a licence in one or more class of Plumbing the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) have five mandatory subjects that must be completed:

• Establish legal and risk management requirements of new business ventures
• Read and interpret plans and specifications
• Carry out work-based risk control processes
• Estimate and cost work
• Access and interpret regulatory requirements for the plumbing and services industry

Along with at least one unit of study in the main class of your choice.
