The Victorian Government says that every year, our alcohol and drug treatment services assist about 40,000 people struggling with alcohol or drug dependency.

Start your welfare career in a high-demand sector. This skill set equips you with core abilities for supporting clients with alcohol and other drug issues.

Career paths may include roles in community-based organisations, withdrawal and rehabilitation services, or outreach support under the guidance of other practitioners. You could work in a health professional role within a rehabilitation unit or provide AOD outreach services.

Once you complete this course, you can advance your qualifications. Further study options include the Diploma of AOD, Diploma of Mental Health, Diploma of Community Services, Diploma of Youth Work, or a Bachelor of Community Mental Health and AOD.
