Re-skill and find work in the construction industry
This course is suitable to people who wish to transition into the construction industry or those already in the industry who are seeking to re-skill.
After completion of the training, participants will be able to demonstrate skills and knowledge required to safely enter and work in confined spaces.
Participants will learn a range of skills, including:
• planning and preparing for work in confined spaces
• identifying and addressing potential risks, hazards and environmental issues, and implementing control measures
• obtaining and confirming authorisation of a confined space entry permit
• selecting and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
• positioning rescue equipment by the entry permit
• testing and monitoring the atmosphere for harmful elements
• correctly applying tagging and lock-out procedures
• complying with entry permit requirements
• completing written maintenance records
After successfully completing this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the nationally accredited unit: RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces.
