If you’re a parent or guardian of a young person studying at Chisholm, we want to hear your thoughts too.
We are always happy to hear your thoughts and support your family while your child is studying at TAFE.
If your young person is attending an appointment with Student Support and Engagement, you are always welcome to attend appointments with them, provided they are comfortable with you being there. Students can also bring along support workers to any appointments if needed. If support workers or carers are needed in class, we recommend discussing this with the Equitable Learning and Disability Support team.
Feedback and Complaints
We also aim to provide you with plenty of opportunities to have your say. Keep an eye out for emails about parent/guardian feedback sessions (online or face-to-face) and surveys to help us deliver the best possible education experience for your young person.
Want to pass on your feedback today? Email feedback@chisholm.edu.au to share your thoughts.
Role of National Student Ombudsman
The NSO will provide free complaints services for students enrolled with a registered higher education provider, in any course of study other than a vocational education and training (VET) course.
We will work to resolve complaints, from students, about their registered higher education provider, on a range of issues, including, student safety and welfare, course administration, disciplinary processes, and reasonable adjustments.
Students who want to resolve a complaint about VET related matters, or a private provider, can continue to use existing complaints channels.
Our team is working to understand and manage jurisdictional overlap, and we are collaborating with state and territory ombudsmen, as well as anti-discrimination and integrity bodies to develop information sharing protocols and avoid duplication of effort, for students and providers.
