Use your creativity and eye for detail and become a barber

Barbers help people look and feel their best. They build strong long-term relationships with clients and impact their lives for the better. The Certificate III in Barbering course provides you with hands-on industry-specific barber training.

You'll gain industry experience and learn through hands-on training at our on-campus student Mysa Salon and Spa. At Mysa, you'll gain practical skills working with real-life clients. You'll provide customised barbering services under the supervision of salon staff and industry-experienced, qualified barbers.

The course teaches the latest skills and will give you confidence in classic haircuts, scissor and clipper-over-comb techniques. You'll also master beard sculpting, fading, men's grooming, customer service, retail stock management, safe hygiene, health and work practices, and more.

This is a practical qualification with a lot of hands-on assessments that students need to complete on-campus to pass. All skills assessments are required to be carried out on paying members of the public. Our industry-experienced teachers will support you through online coursework and face-to-face practical assessments.

If you already hold a Certificate III in Hairdressing, talk to us about upgrading to a Certificate III in Barbering in just 12 weeks.
