Kickstart your career with an electrician apprenticeship

Electricity is an essential part of daily life. As technology advances and society moves towards renewables, qualified electricians are in high demand. Develop the skills you need to work on a variety of electrical installations, including commercial, residential and industrial wiring applications.

An electrical apprenticeship provides you with hands-on, industry-specific training. It allows you to earn while you learn and prepares you for a successful and well-paid career as an electrician.

As an apprentice, you'll work with your employer four days a week. You'll also learn in our state-of-the-art electrical facilities one day each week. Industry-experienced teachers will support you through Certificate III in Electrotechnology, which combines theory and practice.

You'll gain practical skills in our multi-trade workshops. You'll learn about electrical principles, trade theory and practice, telecommunications, general contracting, electrical wiring, industrial control, workplace safety and more.

When you successfully complete the Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and pass all the licensing assessments, you may be eligible for a nationally recognised Electrician's Licence.
