• Admission requirements

  • Of school leaving age or have a transition from school form.
  • Have parental agreement for students under 18 years of age.
  
  To enter this qualification, individuals must have the technical and organisationalskills to conceptualise and create works in selected medium.
  Those skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience in creative practice or through formal study.

  Physical:
  Students must be capable of meeting the physical demands of the course. For instance, they might need to stand for extended periods during practical sessions or perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
  
  Cognitive/Emotional:
  Communication Skills: Students need effective communication skills to interact with clients, peers, and teachers. This includes the ability to articulate ideas clearly and understand feedback. Emotional Resilience: The ability to handle the emotional demands of creative work, such as managing stress from deadlines, accepting, and acting on constructive criticism, and maintaining motivation through challenging projects.
  Problem-Solving Abilities: Students must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions and handle unexpected challenges in their work.
  
  Experience:
  Students may need skills in specific software or technical areas relevant to the design course, such as graphic design software or multimedia tools.
  
  Industry:
  The course might include specific traits or requirements identified through industry engagement. This could involve strong oral communication skills, additional practical experience, or adhering to industry standards and practices.

  Language, literacy and numeracy

  You are required to complete a language, literacy and numeracy skills test before course commencement. This will determine course suitability and if you may need additional support.
  
  We use an approved online skills review tool to determine your language, literacy and numeracy skills within the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).
