Chisholm Institute is committed to providing a safe and respectful workplace and place of study, to all staff and students. Chisholm recognises that family violence can occur in many forms and can significantly affect the lives of staff and students.
Family violence is defined in the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 (Victoria) and includes physical, sexual, financial, verbal, psychological or emotional abuse by a family member. We are committed to supporting those affected by family violence to remain engaged in work and study and access further specialist assistance.
Internal support is available through Student Support & Engagement
Chisholm has a dedicated Student Support & Engagement team, who offer a free and confidential service including personal counselling.
Chisholm’s Personal Counsellors are here to provide a safe and non-judgemental space to listen to you and can provide you with one-on-one guidance and support if you are experiencing family violence. Counsellors can also provide information on the options you have in the community for support or reporting.
Connect with the Counselling team Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
