Scholarship Overview

The 2025 Higher Education Academic Merit Scholarship is available to all current students enrolled in Higher Education/degree programs in 2025. The scholarship will be applied as a reduction in outstanding tuition fees in August 2025, subject to the applicant meeting the specified eligibility criteria outlined below.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a full fee-paying, continuing student enrolled in a higher education degree program at Chisholm and have completed at least two semesters of study.
  • Have maintained a minimum attendance of 80% throughout, with no intention to report.
  • Have achieved an academic average of at least 85% in the most recent semesters, with no failing grades or intention to report.
  • Have paid all applicable course fees and any other associated fees or costs by the due date, with no intention to report.

Terms and Conditions

  • Applicants will be classified as international students only if they hold a Subclass 500 student visa or are in the process of applying for one.
  • The scholarship value is capped at a maximum of AUD $3,000.
  • The scholarship is exclusively available to international students enrolled in a higher education degree program at Chisholm Institute.
  • To apply, students must complete a separate application form and submit a supporting statement from both the student and the respective delivery area teacher. The supporting statement should outline how the scholarship would assist the applicant and explain why they believe they are the most suitable candidate for the scholarship.
    • Students must contact international@chisholm.edu.au to request an application form and further details in July 2025.
    • A scholarship panel will review all applications, and selection will be based on academic performance, attendance, and other factors such as community engagement and leadership abilities.
  • To remain eligible, students must maintain a full study load. If a student is not enrolled in a full study load, eligibility will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Students on approved deferment or leave of absence may remain eligible to receive the scholarship upon their return to study. Eligibility for these students will be determined on an individual basis by the International Student Recruitment and Admissions team, in conjunction with the Higher Education College.
  • Students granted advanced standing or credit transfers for previous studies are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • The scholarship is non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be converted into cash or applied to another individual, semester, study period, or course.
  • The award of the scholarship is at the sole discretion of Chisholm Institute. Chisholm reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of the scholarship without prior notice.
  • Successful applicants will have the scholarship amount deducted from their outstanding tuition fees due to Chisholm after August 2025.
  • If a successful applicant is in their final semester of study, the scholarship amount will be refunded by the International Student Recruitment and Admissions team. In all other cases, the scholarship cannot be applied retrospectively to students who have completed their studies or are no longer enrolled.
  • The decision of Chisholm regarding eligibility for the scholarship is final, and there will be no appeals in the event of a student being unsuccessful or having their scholarship withdrawn.
  • Should a student withdraw from or transfer between courses, or be reported for non-compliance, Chisholm reserves the right to cancel the scholarship or require the student to repay the scholarship amount, provided that the withdrawal, transfer, or cancellation has been approved by Chisholm.
  • Only successful applicants will be notified via email regarding the scholarship by August or September 2025. Unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.
  • Students must maintain their enrolment status and pay all applicable fees on time. If there is a delay in the scholarship outcome, a credit equivalent to the value of the scholarship (AUD $3,000) will be applied to the successful applicants' account.

Scholarship Overview

The 2025 Higher Education Academic Merit scholarship is available to all new/future students applying to study a Higher Education/degree program in 2025. The scholarship will be applied as a reduction in the second semester tuition fee due in July 2025 and February 2026, subject to the applicant meeting the specified eligibility criteria outlined below.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a new/future student applying for a higher education degree at Chisholm
  • Have achieved an overall academic score of 70% or above in Year 12 or equivalent

Terms and Conditions

  • Applicants will be classified as international students only if they hold a subclass 500 student visa or are in the process of applying for one.
  • The scholarship value is capped at a maximum of AUD $1,500
  • Students that are eligible for this scholarship in February 2025, will have this scholarship deducted against their fees due in July 2025
  • Students that are eligible for this scholarship in July 2025, will have this scholarship deducted against their fees due in February 2026.
  • This scholarship can only be awarded to international students undertaking a higher education degree program at Chisholm Institute
  • To apply, students must complete and submit a separate supporting statement limited to 250 words. In the statement, the student must explain why they believe to be a strong candidate for this scholarship and how receiving this scholarship would support their academic goals.   • The supporting statement must be sent prior to the issuance of a COE (Confirmation of Enrolment), If the statement is received after the issuance of a COE (Confirmation of Enrolment), this scholarship will not be applied retrospectively.
  • To remain eligible, students must maintain a full study load. If a student is not enrolled in a full study load, eligibility will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Students on an approved deferment/leave of absence may remain eligible to receive this scholarship upon their return to study. Eligibility for these students will be determined on an individual basis by the International Student Recruitment and Admissions team, in conjunction with the Higher Education College.
  • Students granted advanced standing or credit transfers for previous studies are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • The scholarship is non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be converted into cash or applied to another individual, semester, study period, or course.
  • Students must progress to the second semester to be eligible to obtain this fee reduction in the second semester.
  • The award of the scholarship is at the sole discretion of Chisholm Institute. Chisholm reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of the scholarship without prior notice.
  • If a student is onshore and applying to study a higher education degree at Chisholm, students’ Year 12 scores and students’ academic scores in the most recent study period will be considered prior to awarding this scholarship. If a student has failed and not maintained at least a credit average in the most recent study period, they will not be eligible for the scholarship.
  • The decision of Chisholm regarding eligibility for the scholarship is final, and there will be no appeals in the event of a student being unsuccessful or having their scholarship withdrawn.
  • Should a student withdraw from or transfer between courses/providers, or be reported for non-compliance, Chisholm reserves the right to cancel the scholarship or require the student to repay the scholarship amount, provided that the withdrawal, transfer, or cancellation has been approved by Chisholm.
  • Only successful applicants will be notified via email regarding the scholarship. Unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted
  • For countries where the grading system differs, appropriate grading criteria will be used, and an overall average will be derived to identify eligibility.

Scholarship Overview

The 2025 Diploma and Diploma to Degree pathway scholarshipsis available to all new/future students applying to study a standalone diploma or a diploma to degree pathway program in 2025. The scholarship will be applied as a reduction in the second semester tuition fee due in July 2025 and February 2026 towards the diploma program only, subject to the applicant meeting the specified eligibility criteria outlined below.

Eligibility

  • Be a new/future student commencing a standalone diploma or a diploma to degree program at Chisholm.
  • Have achieved an overall academic score of 70% or above in Year 12 or equivalent

Terms and Conditions

  • Applicants will be classified as international students only if they hold a Subclass 500 student visa or are in the process of applying for one.
  • The scholarship value is capped at a maximum of AUD $1,000
  • Students that are eligible for this scholarship in February 2025, will have this scholarship adjusted against their fees due in July 2025
  • Students that are eligible for this scholarship in July 2025, will have this scholarship adjusted against their fees due in February 2026
  • This scholarship can only be awarded to international students undertaking a standalone diploma program or a diploma to degree program at Chisholm
  • To apply, students must complete and submit a separate supporting statement limited to 250 words. In the statement, the student must explain why they believe to be a strong candidate for this scholarship and how receiving this scholarship would support their academic goals.   • Students that are eligible for this scholarship, will have AUD $1,000 deducted from their second semester tuition fees in the diploma program only. Students will not be eligible to claim any new or future student scholarships when they transition into the degree component of their packaged offer.
