Stacey Thrives in New Real Estate Career
As more women enter the real estate industry, Chisholm Institute of TAFE’s Certificate IV In Real Estate Practice remains the only ‘face to face’ course in Victoria.
The Chisholm course is attracting many students seeking a rewarding career with high earning potential, flexibility, job diversity and a long career. It’s the first step to becoming a licensed real estate agent.
Former course graduate, Stacey Homicki from Hodges Real Estate on Victoria’s Bass Coast now works as a successful mobile agent. She enjoys the chance to develop her own marketing and sales strategies to create success.
“I worked in hospitality for many years and realised as a young woman, there was no way I could ever afford to buy a home on that wage,” Stacey said.
“But in the real estate profession, I’ve already achieved that.”
“Chisholm’s Real Estate course opened my eyes to how much I could develop in this industry. My classmates have become my mentors to guide me through my career,” Stacey said.
“The in-person classes gave us great opportunities to talk about our ideas and develop strategies, to seek the advice of our teachers who all have solid experience in real estate.
“I’m a relational person so as a mobile agent, I spend so much time building professional relationships with potential sellers, meeting people from all walks of life, and I love it.”
Stacey said as the real estate industry is guaranteed, she will have a career for life. “After all, people will always buy and sell houses,” she said.
“I’m so grateful to Chisholm’s teachers for helping me to believe in myself, and give me a solid, long-lasting career.”
The course is recognised by the Consumer Affairs Victoria Business Licensing Authority as an Agents Representative Course. Graduates can work in sales, leasing and property management as well as admin and reception.
