The Certificate IV in Engineering CNC Programming apprenticeship provides you with hands-on industry-specific training. The course gives you the skills and knowledge of methodologies required for CNC setup and programming and allows you to earn while you learn.
As an apprentice, you'll work with your employer in the industry four days a week. You'll also learn from industry-experienced teachers at our state-of-the-art engineering training facilities one day a week.
Upon successfully completing the Certificate IV in Engineering CNC Programming course, you can work as a qualified CAD/CAM or CNC programmer.
You'll learn to create 2D and 3D code files and models using CAM systems. You'll gain skills in setting, operating and programming CNC Machines and lathes. You'll also understand work health and safety procedures and be able to interpret technical drawings and more.
As a nationally accredited qualification, this course can also help you pathway toward a Diploma of Engineering Technology. The diploma can then be a pathway to a Bachelor of Engineering degree at Chisholm's Higher Education College.

Chisholm courses are subject to minimum and maximum group numbers. Courses may be cancelled or postponed if minimum numbers are not achieved by the start date of the course. Courses may close prior to the start date if the maximum numbers are reached. In that situation, eligible applicants will be offered a place in the next available intake.
